BOUFFANTS
NEW BEGINNING

The classic bouffant harks back to earlier times, but, when altered for this holiday season's galas, it captures the sleekness of the present and future. For this deja 'do: spray dry hair with spray gel, such as Le Mast Plie', backcomb hair from the base, then carefully smooth hair to form the base, then carefully smooth hair on top of the base with a gel, such as LeMast Genereux, being careful not to comb out base hair. Then, pin smooth hair into the base for height and fullness. Leave strands around the face free for a contemporary look.

FUTURE
FINGER WAVE

An oldie-but-goodie hair style that says "retro romance" and "contemporary flair" for the holidays is an update of the 1930s flapper girl look. To achieve this "past meets present" style, work a strong gel, such as LeMast XL Gel, thoroughly into clean, chin-length hair. Fingerwave the whole head using fingers and a comb. When waving is completed, spray hair with a strong-hold spray, such as LeMast Freeze Frame and dry under chair dryer, giving hair a glassy finish that is perfect for a Might on the town or a New Year's Eve bash. A feminine rhinestone or pearl barrette on one side adds a touch of drama.

ROMANCE
RESURFACED

Touchable tresses have been and always will be romantic and feminine. For a "twist" on the "big curls" look, spray damp hair with a spray gel, such as LeMast Plic', then set hair with medium/large magnetic rollers and spray with a strong-hold spray, such as LeMast Freeze Frame, and set to dry. When completely dry, run fingers through the curls. Twist six rows, pinning at the crown with bobby pins and rhinestone baby hair pins. Perfect for a holiday gala!

BRAID-Y-BUNCH

The ponytails and braids of childhood join to create a sophisticated updo for cocktail parties or dinner and dancing. Apply sculpting glaze, such as LeMast Media, to dry hair, then braid tiny braids and coils around the head a couple of inches apart at hairline. Gather the remainder of hair in a ponytail, then braid and coil parts of the ponytail and twist around the ponytail as desired. Spray loose ends of braids with LeMast Freeze Frame to prevent unraveling, then curl with 1/2 inch curling iron. The result is a festive mix of fun and sophistication. Add small rhinestone barrettes at base of braids for added glamour.
